Most disputes in software projects don't come from bad intentions but from assumptions nobody wrote down. A good written quote answers the questions before they're asked.
Eight items no quote should be missing
- The exact list of pages or screens and features.
- What is explicitly out of scope.
- Work stages and the review point for each stage.
- A payment schedule tied to delivered stages, not just dates.
- How many revision rounds are included.
- Who owns the code, design and accounts after payment.
- Hosting and domain: in whose name, and their yearly cost.
- Support after launch: how long, and what it covers.
How we write our quotes
We send a written scope that covers these points, and tie payments to stages you can follow yourself through a private project link. Work doesn't start until you approve the scope.
